In partnership with Patricia Huntsman Culture + Communication, Nordicity worked with ArtsBC in their winning application to the Canada Council for the Arts Digital Strategy Fund, under the Digital Literacy and Intelligence stream. This funding will allow ArtsBC to proceed with the DigiStarts program which aims to build digital literacy in arts organizations around the province.

As the first step, the project team will assess and determine the current level of digital literacy among arts organizations around British Columbia. Building on that assessment, the team will develop tailored materials and tools intended to offer new learning opportunities for arts organizations to cultivate creative ecosystems in their communities, bridging arts and culture with technology and entrepreneurship.

The DigiStarts program is intended to be an ongoing multi-phase project. Phase 1 of the project will commence immediately, concluding in the summer of 2019.

Nordicity’s project manager for the DigiStarts program is Carly Freycfrey@nordicity.com.
